Hyderabad, December 15: Makers of India’s biggest blockbuster Baahubali, on December 10 visited the world’s largest Mid-Day Meal serving NGO Akshaya Patra Foundation. On this occasion, veteran director SS Rajamouli, Young producer and CEO of Arka media works Shobu Yarlagadda, acclaimed Costume designer Rama Rajamouli, daughter of eminent director Laxmi Yarlagadda and other members were present.

Informing about the short trip Akshaya Patra’s regional center at Narsingi, the presenter of Baahubali series Shobu Yarlagadda took to twitter and shared one snapshot with Rajamouli. The Baahubali produces applauded the social endeavor helmed by Akshaya Patra Foundation. “It's amazing to see the process, scale, efficiency and dedication with which the meals are prepared and delivered hot to kids! Very inspiring and touching” he mentioned.


During this small interaction Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swami, head of Telangana region welcomed Baahubali member and briefed them about the functioning of the establishment. The team also witnessed the whole process at the hi-tech kitchen. According to the official website of Akshaya Patra, Narsingi center takes care of near about 65,000 school children.

Akshaya Patra Foundation, a Bengaluru based NGO who proactively implements the mid-day meal programme by serving wholesome food to over 1.6 million children from 13,839 schools across 12 states in India. Founded in the year 2000, the foundation began its operations staring with 1,500 children across 5 schools.
