President Kovind inaugurates Suresh Bhat Natya Sabhagrah, hails development initiatives of orange city

Nagpur, Sept 22: Recognizing the rapid development of orange city President Ram Nath Kovind stated that Nagpur has all potential to become the center of development of the country. Addressing the inaugural function of newly built Suresh Bhat Natya Sabhagrah at Reshimbag area President Kovid noted that with the adoption of modern infrastructure the city will emerge as the best model for Smart City.
 
Constructed with the whopping budget of Rs 77 crore, a joint venture of Maharashtra State government and BJP ruled Nagpur Municipal Corporation the auditorium will redefine the cultural heritage of the city. Built on 14,842.43 sq mts land situated at Reshimbag area the Suresh Bhat Memorial Auditorium will be the first theatre with the ample use of solar power. The Project was started in 2010 with the budget of Rs 33.60 crore. 

 

 
 
On his maiden visit to the state of Maharashtra after assuming the office of President of India Kovind said that Maharashtra is not only a hub of industry and business of the country but that of its culture and art as well. He further suggested that along with developmental and economic changes the state must keep it's our cultural moorings intact.

On this occasion Governor of Maharashtra C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Standing Committee Chief Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party leader Sandip Joshi and other officials were present.
